I am delighted to be able to extend a warm welcome to the website dedicated to Italy's participation in the International Exhibition on the theme “Water and Sustainable Development”, which will be staged in Zaragoza from 14 June to 14 September 2008.
This is a very demanding theme because it focuses on one of the most keenly felt– and often one of the most dramatic – issues facing today’s world which is reaching out to technological research and innovation to find solutions to make up for the shortages and/or crises relating to this vital element for sustainable development.
This tool has been designed with the twin purpose of offering the public easily retrievable information on the activities scheduled throughout the Expo, and above all to open up a “window on Italy” and on the events that will be held over that three-month period in our Pavilion (Pabellón Italia).
